
EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Our Education Program offers tutoring projects, literacy reinforcement, college access, robotics equipment, internship program, and our Rosalina Caraballo Gonzalez School with a Cause.
STUDY AND GROW
The Programa Estudia y Crece (PEC) are evening centers that impact low-income students in grades K-6 Monday through Friday. Our programming supports holistic development through tutoring, extracurricular, sports and community service activities, and emotional health programs that foster self-esteem, resilience and collective consciousness. Our centers in Vietnam and Puente Blanco continued to operate throughout the pandemic. Our students at the Juana Matos center were served at the two main centers.
VIETNAM STUDIES
Extended hours program in the Vietnam community, Guaynabo. Tutoring, snacks, mental health services, sports, workshops and crafts are provided. As seen in an article in El Nuevo Día.
WHITE BRIDGE EDUCATES
Extended hours program in the Puente Blanco community, Cataño. Tutoring, snacks, mental health services, sports, workshops and crafts are provided.
UNIVERSITY COURSE
Orientation and access to post-secondary opportunities for young people between the ages of 12-18 from partner public schools. Trayecto, which promotes school retention and post-secondary education, helps the more than 100 participating students define their career path, planning and preparing for post-secondary life. They are offered academic support, workshops and guidance on examination processes and college applications, family support and guidance, and individual and group interventions with counselors.
STEM EXPERIENCES
Our Robotics League works with public schools in Cataño and Guaynabo, with FIRST LEGO LEAGUE. A program for children and youth that fosters the development of STEM skills by solving real problems through meaningful and playful learning.
ESCUELA CON CAUSA
A Community Alliance Public School serving over 350 students grades 6-12 from the communities impacted by Caras. The school is a free, non-sectarian, inclusive school that promotes the human development of our students and their families through a comprehensive offering of excellence, centered on a sustainable community development framework.
